Romaine Mandarin Orange Salad

l lg head Romaine lettuce, torn
4 to 5 slices of bacon cooked
1 sm red onion, thinly sliced

1 - 11 oz can mandarin oranges, drained
2/3 cup vegetable oil (will not mix well with Canola oil)
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp prepared mustard
1 tbl poppy seeds
1 tsp salt

Combine lettuce, onions, oranges, and bacon in salad bowl. Mox oil, vinegar, sugar, mustard, poppy seeds, and salt in jar; cover tightly. Shake to mix. Add dressing to salad at serving time, tossing gently to coat or serve dressing on the side.
