Stand On The Word When Fighting The World

Satan always has a way of trying to interfere with God's plans.  Notice I said, "trying," to interfere.  Last year an Israeli archeologist said he discovered the tomb a dozen years ago and that it contains the bodies of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and their supposed children.  Many reputable archeologists said the film and its findings were rubbish.  Well, it has risen its ugly head again, this time, the wife of the dead archeologist who originally "discovered" the tomb said he feared revealing his finding for fear of an outbreak of anti-Semitism.

Several "scholars" got together to discuss the findings again and determined the tomb could possible be that of Jesus.

As for me, no tomb holds my Savior.  As Christians, though, we are not left without defense from such fabrications.  Peter foresaw what would happen at the waning of the church age, much of it coming from inside the church itself.

"First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.  They will say, Where is this "coming" he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. 2 Peter 3:3-4

Every day we encounter scoffers, people who say there is no Christ and he is not coming back.  People who look at the stories of the Jesus tomb and say, "see, he died and he isn't coming back."

Well, to those of you who are reading this and believe this nonsense let me make something perfectly clear, Christ is alive and is on his throne in heaven preparing for his return.  If you don't believe that then there is little hope for you, because even the demons know it is true.

For those left after the rapture, during the Tribulation, the people who have heard the truth but refused to believe (I will use the word refuse because that is what they have done, they have made a conscious effort not to believe in Christ) will not be able any longer to discern what is true.

"The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.  They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so they will believe in the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness." 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

In summary, the tomb is empty and it has been since that bright morning Christ rolled away the stone and defeated death.

I urger all believers to contend for the faith. Stand firm on the Word and promises of God.
